An online auction of a 109-acre dryland farm estate in northeastern Nebraska started Dec. 5.
The auction, run by BigIron Realty, closes on Thursday Dec. 19.
The estate, formerly owned by Paul and Frances Kass, is in Cuming County, near the village of Beemer, pop. 678.
Beemer is 82 miles northwest of Omaha.
"This high-quality dryland farm lies flat to gently sloping has good gravel road access on the west side," said agent Jim Stock of BigIron. "You’ll also have great access to market your grain with numerous local feeders along with ADM being just down the road."
The online auction ends and live auction bidding for the Kass Estate begins atthe Winer Fire Hall, 1005 Avenue D in Wisner at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday Dec. 19.
The Kass Estate property, located three-quarters of a mile off Nebraska State Highway 51, is available for buyer possession in 2025.
Paul Kass (1936-2024) died on May 12 at age 88. A native of De Witt, IA, he served in the U.S. Navy and worked in California and Nevada before settling in Wisner in 1975 with his wife, Frances (1934-2023), and five children.
Kass worked as the East Central District Manager for Great Plains Communications from 1975- 1999.
