A southeast Missouri retirement sale will feature 26 pieces of farm machinery that were "shed kept every day."
The auction for Bruce and Karen Dawson, run by Greg Marlay and Zach Lukas of BigIron Auctions, concludes Dec. 18.
The equipment is in Bernie, MO, in southern Stoddard County, 59 miles south of Cape Girardeau and 135 miles north of Memphis.
The Dawsons grew cotton, corn and soybeans for 50 years in Bernie, retiring this year.
"All of this machinery, every piece including the dirt scrapers and excavator are shed kept every day," said Marlay of BigIron. "Each & every hour on the X9 combine were put on by either Bruce or Karen & that machine has never been rained on since it was delivered new by the dealer."
The Dawsons are selling four MFWD tractors, four truck tractors, three grain trailers, two pull-type scrapers, two combine headers, two service utility trucks plus an excavator, telehandler, self-propelled sprayer, combine, grain cart, disk, live bottom trailer, lowboy trailer and a pickup.
Items for sale include a 2020 John Deere 8R 250 MFWD Tractor with 982 hours showing, a 2022 John Deere X9 1100 4WD Combine with 613 engine hours and a 2018 John Deere R4038 Self-Propelled Sprayer with 1,877 hours showing.
Of the items for sale, ten are John Deere, three Mack, two Wilson, and one each of Brent, Case IH, Clark Machine, Ford, Freightliner, International, JCB, Ram, Talbert, Timte and Trail King.
In 2018, the Stoddard County University of Missouri Extension Council awarded the Dawson family the Missouri Century Farm designation, for families that have owned a farm for 100 consecutive years.
